These large keyrings (or key rings) show the surname coat of arms (sometimes called a ‘family crest’) on the front, and a brief meaning of the surname on the back. If we don’t have any text data (surname meaning) for the coat of arms (family crest), the keyring will have the coat of arms (family crest) image on both sides. If you would rather order a keyring with the image on both sides, please specify in the order comments box. 

This product includes the following: 

They are created by us in very high quality (not simply taken from stock ‘as-is‘) and they are checked from multiple sources for the greatest accuracy.  We generally use the coat of arms (and crest – the smaller image above the helmet) most associated with the surname, and this includes the motto in its original language (i.e. Latin, French) if one exists for the coat of arms (family crest). We can also supply any preferred coat of arms (family crest).  These large keyrings have an image size of 45mm x 70mm.  These are not ‘instant‘ or ‘off-the-shelf‘ images, they are researched, checked and often made to order.

A brief history will be included as text on the back along with the motto (if a motto exists for the coat of arms shield) with the English translation. Please note that if a crest (the smaller image above the helmet) exists for the coat of arms related to the shield, this won’t be shown as they are with the coat of arms (family crest) keyrings.

Also, if there’s a particular coat of arms / family crest you’re looking for (many surnames have several different coats of arms, including country specific, i.e. English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, French, Spanish, etc.) you can also specify this when ordering.

We always check the coats of arms (family crests) from multiple sources so that the most accurate one is used, and can make any necessary adjustments or create a coat of arms (family crest) completely from scratch from recorded blazons. Many others simply ‘click and save’ from auto-generated software, which can often result in errors, inaccuracies and low quality images.
